Le Parapluie de Cherbourg
Handmade in Cherbourg from sixty parts - the most French umbrella there is.
Born from the imagination of Jacques Demy's film and founded in 1986 by Jean-Pierre Yvon, Le Parapluie de Cherbourg has become an icon of French craftsmanship. Entirely handmade in the Cherbourg workshop, these umbrellas are composed of around sixty parts assembled by a passionate team of artisans. Every piece is designed to last and to be repaired — an act of resistance against planned obsolescence. The brand holds the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label.

Why we love this brand
The most French umbrella there is: handmade in Cherbourg from around sixty parts, designed to last a lifetime and be repaired indefinitely.
