CollectionEU operates the website www.collectioneu.com and related services in order to provide a curated brand discovery and editorial platform highlighting European brands and connecting visitors with the official websites of those brands.
CollectionEU is powered by Shopify, which enables us to operate the Website, process orders for CollectionEU services, manage payments, provide technical functionality, and improve the services offered through the Website.
This Privacy Policy explains how CollectionEU collects, uses, stores, and discloses personal information when you visit the Website, use our services, place an order for a CollectionEU service, submit a form, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with CollectionEU.
CollectionEU does not directly sell the products of the brands listed on the Website. When you purchase a product from a brand’s official website, the processing of your personal data in connection with that purchase is governed by the privacy policy of that brand or seller.

- Brand and listing information, such as texts, images, logos, brand descriptions, product or collection information, manufacturing details, and other materials submitted for the creation or management of a CollectionEU listing;
- Communications with us, including emails, forms, support requests, commercial exchanges, and information voluntarily provided in messages;
- Device and technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, network connection, cookies, and similar identifiers;
- Usage information, such as pages viewed, links clicked, interactions with the Website, forms submitted, browsing activity, and approximate location derived from technical data.

- Providing and managing the services, including processing orders for CollectionEU services, creating and managing brand listings, providing visibility options, managing subscriptions, processing payments, issuing invoices, and communicating with Clients;
- Editorial and commercial management, including reviewing brand information, assessing eligibility for listing, preparing brand profiles, translations, editorial content, and visibility campaigns;
- Customer support and communication, including responding to inquiries, support requests, refund requests, listing updates, and business communications;
- Marketing and communication, including sending newsletters, updates, commercial communications, and information about CollectionEU services, where permitted by law;
- Website operation and improvement, including analytics, performance monitoring, security, debugging, technical maintenance, and improving the user experience;
- Security and fraud prevention, including detecting, preventing, and investigating fraudulent, unlawful, unsafe, or malicious activity;

The applicable retention periods may vary depending on the category of data and the nature of the relationship. In general, CollectionEU applies the following retention periods:
- Accounting, invoicing and tax records: retained for ten (10) years from the end of the relevant financial year, in accordance with applicable accounting and tax obligations;
- Client relationship data: retained for the duration of the contractual relationship, then archived for the applicable limitation period, generally five (5) years after the end of the relationship;
- Prospect and commercial contact data: retained for three (3) years from the last meaningful contact or interaction with the prospect, unless the person objects earlier;
- Brand listing and editorial information: retained for the duration necessary to provide and maintain the relevant service, and, where applicable, for archiving, evidence, continuity of the Website, or legitimate editorial purposes;
- Payment data: processed by payment service providers and retained according to their own legal and security obligations. CollectionEU does not directly store full payment card details;
- Cookie consent records: retained for approximately six (6) months;
- Cookies and similar trackers: retained for a maximum of thirteen (13) months, unless a shorter period applies or renewal of consent is required.
At the end of the applicable retention period, personal information is deleted, anonymized, or archived where necessary to comply with legal obligations, establish evidence, or protect the rights and legitimate interests of CollectionEU.
