Atelier Paulin has revived a goldsmithing technique that was nearly lost: drawing names, words and graphic forms by bending precious metal wire by hand, with no moulds or duplication. The result feels closer to a calligraphic line than to standard engraving. Each piece is shaped by an artisan trained in-house, in the Paris workshop, in a single sitting. The tactile economy of the technique, paired with the choice of solid 18k gold or 14k gold-filled, gives every piece a sense of intimacy that mass jewellery rarely achieves.
