Personalised wire jewellery, hand-shaped in Paris ateliers without moulds since 2014.
Founded in 2014 by Anne-Sophie Baillet and now led by Matthias Lavaux, Atelier Paulin is a Parisian fine jewellery house specialising in personalised wire jewellery handcrafted in France. Each Atelier Paulin piece is shaped by an artisan trained in-house, using a rare savoir-faire that bends precious metal wire into letters, names, dates and graphic forms without moulds. The collection includes name necklaces, cord bracelets, rings and earrings in 14k gold-filled, 925 sterling silver and 18k yellow, rose or white gold, with selected pieces reinforced by laser micro-soldering. Atelier Paulin operates a workshop and showroom in central Paris where artisans complete personalised pieces while the client watches. The pricing structure makes personalised gold jewellery accessible at gold-filled tier and bespoke at solid 18k. Mother's Day, birth, baptism and birthdays are the typical occasions for which Atelier Paulin is chosen.
Atelier Paulin has revived a goldsmithing technique that was nearly lost: drawing names, words and graphic forms by bending precious metal wire by hand, with no moulds or duplication. The result feels closer to a calligraphic line than to standard engraving. Each piece is shaped by an artisan trained in-house, in the Paris workshop, in a single sitting. The tactile economy of the technique, paired with the choice of solid 18k gold or 14k gold-filled, gives every piece a sense of intimacy that mass jewellery rarely achieves.
