North Outdoor publishes the micron count of each piece, the unit that measures fibre fineness and decides what the skin actually feels: 18.5 for the knitwear, 17.5 for one 150 g\/m² base layer, 16.0 for the woven shell jacket, a wool made wind resistant and water repellent by the weave alone, with no membrane and no synthetic fibre.
